Jungle Camp 2023: Contrary to many rumors, TikTok star Twenty4Tim is not there after all

The start date for Dschungelcamp 2023 has finally been set: The 16th season of the cult format will begin on Friday, January 13, 2023! But who will actually occupy the famous jungle beds of "Ich bin ein Star - Holt mich hier raus!

RTL has just made an official statement about the candidates - and incidentally also quashed a hot rumor. Actually, many thought that TikTok star Twenty4Tim would move into one of the jungle beds. Now, however, it has been revealed that he will not be moving in after all.

Instead, Olivia Jones and Papis Loveday ensure that queer visibility is supported at IBES 2023. Jones hosts the aftershow, Papis is there as a contestant.

"I'm a Star - Get Me Out of Here" takes place again in Australia

It won't be long before it's "Dschungelprüfung, bitte!" again. And real fans of the format should be happy, because: It's off to Australia again. After "IBES" had to take place once in Cologne and once in South Africa, the format is returning to its roots.

As in the previous seasons, RTL kept a low profile for a long time with regard to the lineup of participants. Now there is no need for speculation. The jungle camp residents have been determined - and offer something for just about everyone - both influencers and trash TV stars and actors are represented.

IBES: It all starts on January 13, 2023!

The next season of "IBES" starts on Friday, January 13, at 9:30 p.m. on RTL. And those who absolutely can't get enough of the jungle can look forward to one more live show this time. On Sunday, January 29, 2023, the grand finale will then take place. Then the reigning jungle king Filip Pavlović will hand over his jungle crown to his successor.

An absolute highlight this time should again be the reunion. Here, the "old stories" that have often led to arguments in the camp will be "warmed up" once again. The "big reunion" will then take place on Monday, January 30, 2023.

Fans of the format can also look forward to another constant. Olivia Jones will once again host the aftershow, to which candidates from past seasons are often invited. However, fans will have to do without Daniel Hartwich. He has decided to stop hosting the jungle camp because otherwise he would be separated from his family for too long. When his children were younger, he is said to have always traveled with all of them. Now that the children are of school age, however, this option is no longer available. Instead, Jan Köppen will celebrate his debut as host alongside Sonja Zietlow next year. And so that no one has to be afraid of wild animals, Doctor Bob will of course be at the start again.

This queer TikTok star isn't moving to the jungle after all

As in previous years, there was again wild speculation. Now RTL has brought clarity to the matter. The queer TikTok star Twenty4Tim will not be moving into the jungle. His fans would certainly have been pleased. In addition, he is currently one of the best-known TikTokers in Germany. After all, not so long ago he landed a real hit with the catchy tune "Gönn' dir" and made it to the top of the German single charts. And apparently he has no desire to be a one-hit wonder. His second song, "Galaxie," is also currently very successful.

However, other guesses, such as Claudia Effenberg, Cosimo (known as "Der Checker vom Neckar"), Jana Pallaske and Tessa Bergmeier ("Germany's next Top Model") were confirmed. And what should also be clear: It certainly won't always be harmonious around the campfire.
