Michalsky wants to campaign for more inclusion on TV

Michael Michalsky has been open about his homosexuality from the very beginning, without making it a particularly persistent topic of discussion. In the past, he explained, among other things, that he never experienced a classic outing á la "Mom, Dad, I'm gay!", because that was exactly what was clear to everyone anyway.

In addition, he grew up in an environment that probably never made a "big deal" out of this. Accordingly, it was easy for Michalsky to admit to himself and his sexual orientation early on.

In the upcoming "Das Supertalent" season, he also wants to stand up for diversity and thus make an important contribution. Anyone who takes a look at the last seasons of the hit show will quickly realize that his attitude toward this issue is likely to open doors to a certain extent. The most diverse characters have been appearing on "Das Supertalent" for a long time.

In addition, the jury was also made up of diverse members right from the start. At that time, Bruce Darnell and Guido Maria Kretschmer, among others, took their seats alongside Dieter Bohlen. Accordingly, Michalsky is taking on a great legacy.

Why was the jury recomposed?

Opinions on the new jury are divided - including on social networks. Many, but not all, agree with the decision that jury veteran Dieter Bohlen is no longer part of the team. Some critics fear that shows like "Das Supertalent" could become boring without the ex-modern talking star. Others are quite of the opinion that it's time to provide a "breath of fresh air.

With Lukas Podolski, Chantal Janzen and Michael Michalsky, however, it feels as if the station wants to become a littlemore"good-natured" and less "riotous. In order to be able to judge exactly that in the end, however, it would also be important to look a little more closely at the candidates and contestants.

However, similar developments are already taking place with regard to "Deutschland sucht den Superstar. Here, too, Dieter Bohlen is no longer on the starting line.

Whether the concept will work out will be seen in the coming months. What is certain, however, is that Michael Michalsky is not the only homosexual man who will influence the station's programming in the future. As has already been reported on a wide variety of channels (and via official press release), Hape Kerkeling is also getting a show on RTL.
