Westpark Dortmund is located directly in the city center and is therefore easy to reach. The park was opened in 1811 as a cemetery, but in 1912 it was transformed into a beautiful park. To commemorate this time, numerous gravestones have been left standing, which can still be found scattered throughout the park. Especially in the warm summer months, people like to barbecue here with friends or family, and usually until late at night.
