The Sporty Cruising Park at the Bush Jug

Park at the bush jug
The approximately 7.9 hectare Berlin Park am Buschkrug is a popular leisure and sports facility where you can spend time for yourself. But hardly anyone knows that in the early 5th and 6th century in the time of the migration of peoples this had served as a burial place. This became known when construction workers discovered two human skeletons on March 28, 1951, which in turn could be dated to that time by archaeologists and forensic scientists. But in 2007 to 2011, the park was rehabilitated and equipped with barrier-free paths, playgrounds, a fitness trail with 13 different groups of equipment and much more.

But all this is not the reason why the scene gathers here in the park at the Buschkrug. Because near the subway station Blaschkoallee is a wonderful gay cruising area (near the bronze statue of Justus Chrukin). But also on the hill or on the large green area is gathered. In these places gay and bisexual men meet in the evening from 10 pm to cruise together. But also during the day one meets in the rose garden and can find there occasionally. In addition, all age groups are represented in the park at the Buschkrug.

By the way, cruising has been going on in the Klappe am Volkspark Wilmersdorf since the early 60s.
