The parking lot at Coburg airfield

Coburg airfield
Coburg airfield is located only a few kilometers north of the wonderful castle Veste Coburg. In aviation terminology, the small airport is known by its ICAO code "EDQC"known. The runway has a length of about 632 meters and can only allow aircraft with a maximum weight of 5.7 to take off and land. Geologically, it has a perfect location since it is located in a low mountain range. between the Fichtelgebirge, the Thuringian Forest and Rhön is located. Coburg Airfield was opened in August 1913 as an air base for the military. Thus, it was used during the First World War as The airfield was used as an alternate airfield for the Gotha Fliegerersatzabteilung. But in October of the year 1924 one has finally as Civil airfield and still uses it today. In addition, regular events such as the Airshow Coburg or gliding championships also take place here.

Especially for gays and bisexuals from the region, the Coburg airfield has a special meaning. They love to use the parking lot as a gay cruising area. Mostly they gather here in the early evening until deep into the night to have fun together. But also many straight men come here to finally spread their wings to experience one or the other flight of fancy.

Also very nice for cruising is the Dornheckensee.
