Enjoy a spa day at home?! Here's how!

Wellness and relaxation are the be-all and end-all for a good work-life balance. To pamper yourself here, it doesn't always have to be a spa center or a getaway! Relaxation and wellness can also be enjoyed at home.

It doesn't take many accessories - and together with your partner, the whole thing is often a little more fun. Due to the home atmosphere, it is also often a little easier to leave everyday life behind.

But what should be taken into account when planning a perfect (and perhaps erotic?) spa day? The following tips will help and can - depending on personal taste - of course also be refined a little.

A perfect spat day at home

Tip #1: Turn off all electronic devices

Meanwhile, a world without the Internet, smartphones and computers is unthinkable for many. Some people live by the motto: always be reachable and act directly. The fear of possibly missing an important message constantly hangs in the back of their neck. But: A little break from the outside world can be very pleasant. Therefore, the spa day should be started by switching off cell phones and co.

The hustle and bustle of everyday life should not play a role in the coming hours.

Tip No. 2: Involve all senses

Especially in long relationships, one knows the other and knows exactly what brings him relaxation and which touches are perceived as particularly pleasant.

A little massage on the back or feet serves the sense of feeling. But there are many more senses than feeling! Tasting, smelling, seeing and hearing are also important when it comes to planning the "perfect" day.

An incense stick or a scented candle provides a wonderfully pleasant scent in the room. Those who use lavender can usually rely on an additional relaxation factor. Relaxing music, the sound of the sea or pattering rain have a calming effect.

On the culinary level should also not be spared. After all, small sins are allowed on spa day.

If you want, you can fall back on your favorite sweet treats here or try a new dish together as a couple.

Tip No. 3: Shower scrubs

Natural shower scrubs consist of cane sugar, vanilla and lemon extracts. They pamper the nose with soothing fragrances when applied and the mixture - depending on the composition - is often helpful for skin care in many ways.

The fine crystals of cane sugar remove the flakes on the skin and valuable ingredients moisturize it at the same time.

If you don't feel like using a ready-made scrub, you can simply make it yourself. How about a mix of chocolate and essential oils? For this, you can rely on crushed cocoa beans in combination with chopped walnut shells. The mixture not only smells good, but is also capable of removing dead skin cells. The oils, on the other hand, provide lasting care for the skin.

If you want to enjoy the whole thing as a joint activity, you can first rub the other person with the scrub. Then, ideally, a relaxing full bath awaits both of them.

Tip No. 4: Face mask, manicure and pedicure

On a wellness day, not only should relaxation be celebrated, but also care should not be forgotten. A purchased or a DIY face mask is applied quickly and easily.

If you have a little patience and some beauty talent, you can also pamper your partner with a manicure or a pedicure.

Experience shows that many couples here become more courageous over time and love to try new things together.

Concluding: where does the word "spa" actually come from?

Many people who value a mix of relaxation and stress reduction rely on regular "spa days. But what exactly is behind the word? "Spa" actually comes from Latin and is an abbreviation for "sanus per aquam", meaning "healthy through water". However, the spa town of the same name in Belgium may also be responsible for the fact that the term plays such an important role in the field of wellness.

What is certain is that "spa" now covers several wellness treatments. The connection to water is not always given.

However, with the help of the appropriate applications, it is often possible to get back together as a couple. Therefore: try it out and enjoy - whether with or without water!
