Désirée Nick makes a plea for the LGBTQ community

Désirée Nick - Homophobia is not an opinion
The scandal around "Celebrities under palm trees"and Prince Markus von Anhalt was a few days ago, but it still keeps the media and celebrity world as busy as Désirée Nick.

Germany's"sharpest tongue," Désirée Nick, has now also spoken out. Her message is clear: "Homophobia is not an opinion, but an offense. "

In the course of an Instagram video lasting several minutes, however, she also doesn't leave a good hair on the other "Celebrities under palm trees" participants. After all, their silence was indirectly consent.

But how does it actually calculate exactly? The following sections summarize the key statements.

Désirée Nick denounces lack of freedom of expression

"Promis unter Palmen" is not the first show that Désirée Nick has commented on in the media. Rarely, however, have all the contestants really come off as badly to her as they have this time. It doesn't matter whether it's the "Currywurst Man" or Willi Herren: "La Nick" doesn't seem to be really well disposed towards any of them.

However, she denounces the reaction of the participants to her "criticism". She had been insulted by them afterwards... with that, however, some had only confirmed exactly what she had said about them. Many of them would thus be directed against freedom of expression.

While "opinion" and "hurtful behavior" can certainly still be discussed, Nick's statement on the subject of homophobia should (hopefully) be less polarizing. Because: here she shows a clear edge.

Homophobia is NOT an opinion

In her familiar style, with which she shows - confident as ever - that she has been campaigning for gay rights for years, she calls herself an "LGBTQ icon" in the video. Behind the typical "La Nick style", however, is a message that hits right to the heart.

If the viewer tunes out the "I'm the only one who can call herself an "artist" among celebrities under palm trees!", he feels that it is indeed a concern for her to once again explicitly - and probably after several media requests for a statement - stand against homophobia.

Due to the current situation, it is above all Prince Markus von Anhalt, who "shouldplease no longer be referred to as "Prince" by the media", who has to take a verbal beating.

"I think if I had been sitting there at the table, there would have been the first murder on reality TV!" she explains.

It is also particularly likeable to see how the diva's lips flit with a slight, almost greeting smile when she refers to the LGBTQ community. However, it was not appropriate to portray Willi Herren, who had defended Katy Bähm during the discussion, as a moralizer. Here she referred to its alleged drug, alcohol and force incidents of the last years. But she really didn't feel like reading any more into the subject.

Her video, or rather her two videos on the subject, have already been clicked on quite a few times and earned thousands of Instagram hearts.

... and the "Prince"?

Désirée Nick - Homophobia is not an opinion
Prince Markus von Anhalt does not show the slightest remorse for what has been said. On the contrary! He recently published a video in which he once again made it unmistakably clear that he probably has a problem with two men making love.

It almost seems as if he felt the need to present himself as a "straight lover" in the next video. Because: here he sniffed a white powder from the pubic area of a naked woman.

Accordingly, it cannot be assumed that the prince has learned from the last few days or will show even a little insight.

Possibly it would be best for him to ask himself what role alcohol and drugs play in his life. However, he can surely answer exactly THAT only himself. Sat.1 has since distanced itself from him. They will no longer work with him.
