Elton John's incredible career - from then until now
Sir Elton Hercules John was actually born Reginald Kenneth Dwight in 1947 in London. Only in the 60s he decided to use the name Elton John, which alludes to the collaboration with the music ELTON Dean and JOHN Baldry. At the latest now the basis for a steep career was laid.
In addition to his numerous musical awards, the singer also received a total of two Oscars®. He was celebrated in the categories of "Best Song". On the one hand for the "LionKing" soundtrack, with the song "Can You Feel The Love Tonight", which still today evokes an earworm and childhood memories in numerous people. He received the second Oscar® for "(I'm Gonna) Love Me Again" - the song that played a role in his own film biography.
Excitingly, he has also been drawn to the camera himself on one or two occasions. He played himself in the British comedy "Kingsman 2" as well as in an episode of "The Nanny".
The list of musical records is long. After all, Sir Elton John belongs to the 50 greatest musicians* of all time. Elton John celebrates success not only in his professional life, but also in his private life - and not in short supply. He has been happily married to his husband David Furnish for more than 30 years. The two have also already started a family together. And it is certainly no exaggeration to claim that Elton and David have chosen probably the "coolest godmother" for their sons: Lady Gaga.
Charitable involvement is also particularly important to the exceptional artist. For example, he founded the Elton John AIDS Foundation, which works to combat the disease. In the past, the singer has repeatedly given concerts to benefit the foundation. There is a serious background behind his commitment. In the 90s Elton John lost two good friends due to the disease. One of them was the activist Ryan White and just 18 years old Ryan White, the other was Freddie Mercury. These strokes of fate only strengthened John all the more to get involved and become active himself.

Elton John is one of those musicians for whom it is difficult to imagine that they will retire at some point. Now, however, the last farewell tour is actually to take place.
