The Berlin Teltow Canal

Teltowkanal

The Teltow Canal has a length of about 38.4 kilometers and flows through the Berlin area and also forms a partial natural border between Berlin and Brandenburg. It was created at the end of the 20th century and today connects the Spree-Oder waterway (near Oberschöneweide) with the Havel waterway (near Potsdam). But the most popular section here on the Teltow Canal is the one in Lichterfelde between the Paul-Schwarz-Promenade and the Eduard Spranger Promenade. Numerous city dwellers enjoy the weather here in summer and let their feet float in the canal. In addition, the Steglitzer Festival Week takes place here every year and invites countless visitors with its numerous rides .

But the Teltowkanal is not only known for festivities, but also for its popular gay cruising area. This is located between the Bäkebrücke and the Krahmersteg. Here, after dusk, numerous lusty men meet, all on the hunt for the quick pressure release. For this purpose, the 500-meter-long shore path and the adjacent thicket with its countless trees and bushes are perfect for cruising. The audience at this wonderful gay cruising area is always mixed and ranges from young to old. Especially in summer, the rush here is great and even during the day.

The flap on Elbe Street also offers wonderful fun every day.
