The dam of Bautzen
The dam Bautzen is located as the name suggests in the northern part of Bautzen in the district Burk. The lake Selber has a total area of over 578 hectares and is fed by the Spree. The dam serves primarily for drinking water supply but also for flood protection. But in addition, it serves primarily but the constant water supply for the power plant at the Boxberg.
But the most popular is the dam Bautzen in the gay scene. Because over the years it became a very popular cruising area. Especially the gay men meet here regularly to have hot fun together.
