The reservoir near Borna

Reservoir Borna
The Reservoir Borna normally covers an area of around 265 hectares and is about 25 meters deep. But as soon as it is at its peak, it has an area of 570 hectares and is about 38 meters deep. Normally it holds about 100 million m³ (cubic meters) of water. The Reservoir Borna used to be an open pit mine, but in 1970 it was closed down and rebuilt until it was opened as a flood control reservoir in 1977. Today, the lake offers space for numerous recreational activities such as sailing, swimming, sunbathing, pedal boating and much more.

This attracts in the warm summer months especially thousands of gay and bisexual men from the entire region of Leipzig an. But also from outside come many like-minded since the reservoir Borna counts as one of the largest dams in the world. The favorite place to meet is the so-called Adriatic Sea on the northeastern side of the beach. Here you tan in the warm rays of the sun and also like to get rid of his clothes to get envious glances. These looks are the key to the gay cruising adventure. Once you have found each other here at the reservoir Borna, you go together or inconspicuously into the small forest. This is located directly behind the beach and offers numerous hiding places to get rid of the pressure undisturbed.

But the smaller sand pit in Biesern also offers great variety.
