The Rheinaue rest area is located directly on the A5 freeway near Bad Bellingen at Fischergrund. It is on the route from Freiburg to Basel and is located directly between the freeway junction Neuenburg, where the A36 joins the A5 and the freeway junction Weil am Rhein where the A5 and the A98 converge. Here, among other things, you can experience wonderful walks after a long and exhausting highway trip. Only a few meters west of the Rheinaue rest area is the Rhine, which itself has a length of over 1,230 kilometers. Thus, it offers countless little corners and bays, where you can let your soul dangle in peace.

But this is not the only reason why the A5 Rheinaue rest area is so well known. Above all, it is known and popular as a gay cruising area in the region. Because gay, bisexual but also straight men meet here every day to gather new experiences or to share their experiences. Mostly they meet at the toilet house or at the urinals.
