The quarry pond Dettelbach has an area before about 30 hectares and is located directly on the Main. It is a dredging lake created in the 70s, which was used to dig sand and gravel for the construction of the A3 freeway. Today it is again one of the most popular bathing and recreational lakes in the entire region. Because the wild area offers fun for the whole family. Above all, it is very well known in the nudist scene and highly sought after in the warm summer months.

But among these nudists, gay and bisexual men from the area also sneak in. Because they use the Baggersee Dettelbach for years as a gay cruising area. Because they love it here at the beautiful temperatures to enjoy together and to tan. The numerous bushes and sand bunkers are ideal for cruising. But also the narrow forest and the quarry pond itself lend a certain charm to the pleasure.
