The nudist beach at the Apeler See in Surheide

Apeler Lake in Surheide
The Apeler See in Surheide was artificially created in the 1970s by the construction of the highway. For this purpose, the then pastures and farms of the Village excavated to use the sand below for asphalt. Thus, the lake now has an area of about 30 hectares with a depth of up to 12 meters. It belongs to the district of Cuxhaven and is located only about 1 kilometer southeast of Bremerhaven.

Therefore, it is not surprising that the gay scene has created its own cruising area here. Especially popular here in the northern part of the lake is the unofficial nudist beach. As soon as the summer weather is reached here heaps of gays gather for pleasure and sunbathing. The audience at the Apeler See is very mixed in age and has a large recurring regular audience.

The cruising area at the Krempel parking lot on the A27 would also be interesting.
