The freeway lake on the A8
The A8 Autobahnsee is located, as the name suggests, directly on the A8 freeway at Augsburg. It can be reached via the highway exit Augsburg East between the freeway junction Augsburg-West and the exit Friedberg. The lake was formed in the 1940s when the site was excavated for sand and gravel for the highway. Subsequently, the pit has filled with ground and rainwater and was used as a Training ground of the Marine SA99 used. But today the A8 Autobahnsee is one of the most popular bathing and recreational places in the entire region. Above all, countless fish species such as eel, pikeperch and co. feel at home in the 17-hectare quarry pond Pudel.
But also the gay scene from Augsburg and the surrounding area feel comfortable at the A8 Autobahnsee. Because they use the entire area and the beach shore as a beautiful gay cruising area. Especially in the summer, the area here is highly contested because then the gay cruising lovers line up closely to closely on the beach. But also the parking lot itself is a popular meeting place in the late evening hours as well as in winter. Especially great is that you can meet here any age so that there is something for everyone.

Jetz is become really dull
In the meantime, or rather since 2-3 years, it is very poor, as the parking lot is used to "drive around in circles". Hardly anyone goes up into the forest. People in the forest just walk around to gawk, even if you're standing there naked, you have to be lucky if someone comes along and starts right away.
