Lars Steinhöfel and Dominik Schmitt currently seem to prove that the summer house of the stars doesn't have to be "separation hell". On the contrary. They even want to get married soon. In the past, there have been many relationships that have not withstood the pressure of the cameras - especially in the summer house.

So the news is all the more pleasing, and it's not just the community that's taking notice. Lars Steinhöfel and Dominik Schmitt are engaged - and "quite incidentally" have also managed to win the show in question. Many fans on social media are not only congratulating them on their new relationship status, but are also pleased that the couple that won the show was one of the most harmonious.

The two lovers want to get married soon

The last season of Summer House of Stars was well received. Even though there were repeated discussions about whether the broadcaster or the production company shouldn't have intervened in formats like these. Above all, the relationship between Mike and Michelle drove worry lines on the foreheads of many viewers. Some suspected that the partnership had toxic traits and was therefore highly questionable.

However, the station should be pleased with the ratings. Here, across the various channels on which the episodes were shown, the 21 million mark was cracked by the end of the season.

The suitcase that Lars and his Dominik were presented with at the end contained 50,000 euros. A handsome buffer, especially with the knowledge that the two want to get married in the not too distant future! The proposal or engagement took place in Paris in a romantic atmosphere in front of the Eiffel Tower. When it is then finally so far and both say "yes", is not yet known. But fans and friends can be sure that they will be kept up to date.

Love killer TV? These partnerships did not withstand the pressure

It is not an exaggeration to say that it is usually not common to get engaged after participating in such a stirring format as "The Summer House of Stars". Many events in the past have already shown that rather the opposite is the case.

So it probably surprised few that Angelina Heger and Rocco Stark, Xenia Princess of Saxony and her Rajab, and Helena Fürst and Ennesto Monté split up after their respective seasons. The strain that the couples are confronted with - especially in the context of this show - is definitely high and should definitely not be underestimated.

Lars Steinhöfel and Dominik Schmitt have shown, however, that sometimes it is apparently often best to trust each other and go comparatively little on the offensive (or rather: into blasphemy mode).

They managed to shimmy from round to round again and again and finally prevailed against their last opponents, Elisabeth "Sissi" Hofbauer and Benjamin Ryan Melzer. And who knows? Maybe their love is actually under a better star than that of the other contestants? It wouldn't be the first time that a queer relationship playing a role on TV proved to be more "robust" than its straight counterpart. Even though Nicolas Puschmann's partnership with his Lars unfortunately failed in the end, the ex-Prince Charming's partnership at least managed to last longer than many Bachelor relationships.
