The loving beach of Elmenhorst

Elmenhorst beach is located between the cities of Rostock and Bad Doberan in the Loving Place Elmenhorst. It is one of the most sought-after bathing beaches on the Baltic Sea of Rostock next to the Markgrafenheide beach. It is also a quiet natural beach with a fine soft sand and has beautiful colorful pebbles lying on the water's edge. These are perfect to collect for home, as well as the numerous washed up shells.

But this is not the main reason why you should go there as a gay man in the summer. Because the real reason is that on the beach of Elmenhorst is also hidden a wonderful gay cruising area. This is located on the left side of the beach and can be easily spotted on sunny days/weekends. Because here countless like-minded people either naked or covered with swimming trunks. For cruising, the upper dunes and bushes are perfect, but also the Baltic Sea itself.

This magnificent beach is best reached via the "Hauptstraße Elmenhorst" which leads in the direction of "Bad Doberan" . The main road is then followed for about 1.1 kilometers to the road "Strandweg". Turn right and follow the road for another 1.5 kilometers until you reach the "Strandparkplatz Elmenhorst". Once there, just get out and follow one of the two paths to the beach.
