Lise-Meitner Park in Groß Flottbek

Lise-Meitner Park

The Lise-Meitner-Park is a park of about 14.3 hectares and thus the largest in the Hamburg area of Groß-Flottbek. Originally, this area was used as an airport until 1968, when construction of the New Hamburg Elbe Tunnel began . During the construction of the 3.3-kilometer-long Elbe Tunnel, several tons of sand and earth were salvaged between 1968 and 1975, and these were temporarily stored at the airfield.

Until the district of Altona used this sand to model the beautiful Lise-Meitner-Park. Just as the construction workers did back then, countless gays and bisexual men still meet here today. Man meets here preferably at the onset of dusk on the big mountain or in the pansy path. This park is something for everyone, from young to old, because fun is capitalized here. If you are ever in the vicinity of the Lise-Meitner Park, you should definitely stop by and take advantage of this opportunity.
