She has been one of the most beloved people in TV and film for decades: Betty White. The LGBTQI+ community also loves the woman who has played so many roles, but is best known for portraying her "Rose" in Golden Girls.
She recently gave an interview that showed how fit she still was and that it was certainly due to her special optimism that she was able to see life from a positive side. On January 17, she would have turned a full century old. The round birthday was denied her. Betty White is dead.
At this point, we will take a look at an impressive career and what Betty White was all about.

On the death of Betty White

The breakthrough came with the Golden Girls

Especially the children of the 90s know the series, in which four women master their everyday life in a kind of shared apartment. One of them is a man-hunting femme fatale, the other is much more realistic. And in the middle of it all: Rose(alias Betty White), who is remembered above all for her slightly naive but always extremely endearing manner.
Among other things, White also took on guest roles in other well-known series, such as "Who's the Boss?" and thus always remained present. But the icon also made headlines away from the screen until the end of her life.

Betty White defended the LGBTQI+ community

Even before it was "in"tospeak out in favor of marriage for all, she left no doubt that she was in favor of supporting same-sex love more strongly. Unforgettable: her interview in which she emphasized that she couldn't care less who had sex with whom and that it was only logical that people who are together should be allowed to marry.
At the latest now she had a stone in the board with many queers and became a kind of icon, also and especially for the gay movement.
In addition, it pleased her fans(and certainly herself) again and again that she was apparently mentally as well as physically fit until the end.

Betty White gives an interview to People magazine

Betty White has been one of those stars who have been somewhat reticent about giving interviews lately. Perhaps also due to her almost triple-digit age, it seemed as if she would only give an interview to selected media. So it was all the nicer to hear something from her.
The interview she recently gave to People magazine shows once again that getting old doesn't have to mean getting quieter. She emphasized feeling good and being healthy. She was born an optimist and that's what's "to blame" for her being such a cheerful person. She is capable of always finding the positive, she said.
It would definitely be a mistake to associate White exclusively with her role in the Golden Girls and thus perhaps even underestimate her a little.
How wide-ranging her talent was should soon even be seen in American cinema.

As part of her birthday celebrations, the film "Betty White: 100 Years Young" was to be shown. Viewers would expect not only an interesting look back at an impressive career, but also one or two guest appearances. For example, Robert Redford and Morgan Freeman were also involved. The community should also be pleased that James Corden was also involved in the film. It remains to be seen whether the film will be shown. Certainly it would be a touching and worthy tribute to a colorful life.
Memes were still making the rounds on New Year's Eve, calling for people to drink to Betty rather than to good intentions.
