Two queer contestants compete on Ninja Warrior

Ninja Warrior has enjoyed enormous popularity among viewers for years. The aim here is to overcome spectacular obstacles. What works with "normal people" also works for celebrities - at least when they are fighting for a good cause. Among the 20 athletes taking up the challenge are the first Princess Charming, Irina Schlauch, and Manuel Flickinger, who has already tried to win Prince Charming's heart. The proceeds of the evening will go to the RTL foundation "Wir helfen Kindern". Anyone who wants to watch how the two of them do should tune in to RTL on December 12 at 8:15 pm.

Who are Irina and Manuel?

Fans of Princess and Prince Charming should know Irina and Manuel. She was the first German Princess Charming and accordingly wrote a little queer TV history. Manuel was in the first season of Prince Charming and wanted to conquer the heart of Nicolas Puschmann, who later chose Lars.

Both should have good chances to go comparatively far in the course. It's no secret that Irina is fit. And Manuel works as a fitness trainer. Let's hope that the excitement doesn't put a spoke in their wheel.

How does Ninja Warrior work in the promo version?

The principle behind the Ninja Warrior Promivariant is quickly explained. The three best participants are confronted with a special challenge that has already become a tradition in fan circles. The Mount Midoriyama. This is the obstacle that regularly leads to screams and frenetic cheers from commentator "Buschi," among others.

To raise even more money for the good cause, the obstacles in the celebrity version are somewhat easier, but still challenging. After all, these are not professional athletes, but celebrities who actually earn their living with something else.

For each obstacle, 1,000 euros are credited to the Good Cause. In addition, it is possible to earn even more money by completing additional tasks and going as far as possible (upwards) on Mount Midoriyama.

Despite its somewhat lower level of difficulty, the course also includes old classics such as the cargo net and the ring slide.

Who else is taking part in the celebrity version of Ninja Warrior?

This year's field of participants is once again a colorful mix. In addition to Irina and Manuel, Thorsten Legat (once again) is also in the running. He is known above all for his sporting ambition in the well-known "Kasalla" manner. No-Angel Sandy Mölling, Cathy Hummels and course connoisseur Mickie Krause (also not a first-time participant) are also part of the party.

Fun, good humor and the fight for a good cause

There's no question about it: Ninja Warrior is one of the regulars on RTL's program and is celebrated by its fans time and time again.

The fact that, in addition to the well-known celebrities, new faces, such as Irina and Manuel, are always in the mix proves that the format is by no means only aimed at passionate, full-time athletes. And when the good cause is also being fought for and the presence of the LGBTQI+ community is underlined... What more could you want?
