How long do you need a prescription for Viagra?

The small, blue pills have actually enjoyed a high level of popularity since their market launch. The temptation to "justgive it atry" has so far been stopped by the fact that Viagra is only available on prescription.

Yet. That could change in the coming year. But how sensible is it to release the pills per se? Aren't there major risks involved? After all, it is currently still up to the attending physician to prescribe Viagra. A "free pass" could certainly have negative consequences, couldn't it?

These and many other questions are now being investigated by the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices. The aim is to lift the prescription requirement for Viagra if necessary. One aspect that plays a particularly important role in the evaluation of the situation is the classification of the active ingredient sildenafil. This is precisely what is contained in the blue pills. Or in other words, it ensures that the pill works the way it does.

How long do you need a prescription for Viagra?

Several steps necessary - it remains exciting

Among other things, the Redaktionsnetzwerk Deutschland reported that with regard to the prescription requirement of Viagra, a lot could happen in the coming year. It quickly becomes apparent, however, that the decision to possibly make the blue pills available without a prescription in the future does not depend on one body.

Two bodies that have a - quite considerable - say in this are an expert committee and the Federal Ministry of Health. According to experience, however, the coordination between the aforementioned expert committee and the Ministry of Health is likely to be the minor hurdle. What is particularly interesting is how the committee assesses the abolition of the prescription requirement. In addition, in connection with a possible abolition of the obligation, there will also have to be a discussion about the quantity of active ingredient or packaging size that may be dispensed without a prescription.

Perhaps those responsible are also taking a look across national borders in this context? This shows that the combination of "Viagra" and "prescription" is by no means common everywhere. The United Kingdom, for example, has long since opted for a more flexible solution.

Who actually uses Viagra?

Viagra helps to make erections more "stable". However, many men use the blue pill not only to get an erection at all, but love to be able to enjoy the erection they already have even longer. Especially in connection with sex parties, the blue pills are part of it for many.

But be careful! Many of them are passed on "under the hand" within the scene and are also taken with alcohol and drugs from time to time. However, this is a dangerous practice that can have lasting health consequences. In the worst case, users can even die. Therefore, it is not only important to refrain from such "cocktails" with drugs and alcohol (by the way, also with poppers!) and - even if the pill is possibly offered without prescription in the new year - to consult your doctor in case of doubt. Among other things, high blood pressure, for example, can be a reason why the use of Viagra is not recommended.

In short, the remedy is often a useful way to counteract erection problems and thus increase the pleasure of one's sex life again. However, this only applies if a few "basic rules" are observed. The attending physician will be happy to help here.

There will also soon be a new memorial for Nazi victims.
