"All You Need" continues with second season

Obviously, the producers seem to believe in "All You Need" very much. According to a report on the media portal DWDL, it is already certain that the queer series will be expanded by another season. Interestingly, the first season has not yet been released.

The premiere is then to be celebrated in May.

Just reading the basic plot shows that this could be a series with great expectations. The whole thing is called a dramedy and should have a lot to make a TV evening interesting and entertaining.

What is "All You Need" about?

All You Need" is all about Vince, played by Benito Bause, and Levo (Arash Marandi). Both are close friends with each other... And that, although they are actually completely different types.

While one is a staunch advocate of monogamy, the other loves to find his adventures via dating apps.

It is particularly exciting to watch how the characters change over the course of the series. A new partner, a move and acquaintances ensure that the viewer certainly won't get bored either.

According to the information published so far, it should prove particularly pleasant that homosexuality is a topic in the series, but is treated "normally". Accordingly, viewers should also be given the image that being queer in the 21st century should be part of people's everyday lives - both in big cities and in suburbs.

"All You Need" takes a look at individual fates in the scene

Of course, even now there are series that deal with gayness and queer issues.

Usually, there is at least one homosexual character who appears in an episode or for a certain period of time and plays a significant role in the plot. However, " All You Need" seems to be different here.

The focus is on guys - some of them completely different - who are gay, but still show many more facets than many homosexual characters in the past.

There should be no lack of time to tell their stories in as much detail as possible. If it's true that the whole thing is already going into the second round, there's certainly enough room to get active here - as a writer and director, for example.

When TV programming gets queerer....

Certainly, few people would associate a queer series like "All You Need" with ARD or any other public broadcaster. And even if the dramedy will probably "only" be available in the media library, this is certainly a step in the right direction.

It could even be that even more people who are interested in the topic are picked up in this way than via the classic TV program.

Video-on-demand, binging and the like enjoy unbroken popularity. Those who don't want to be dependent on fixed times, but want entertainment that dares to look outside the box, should get their money's worth from "All You Need.

Until then, it can of course be fun to pass the time with a few other series on the subject. Among other things, the larger streaming providers are currently also focusing on similar offerings that deal with queers, but by no means only address the scene.

If you think back to the times when it was still considered a "scandal" for a Carsten Flöter to kiss a man on Lindenstraße, you will notice that - thank goodness - things have changed.
