Actor Vladimir Burlakov has come out! He came to the "GQ Men of the Year" gala together with his boyfriend. Both held hands and left no doubt that this moment was very special for them.

They willingly faced the photographers, but at the same time somehow had only glances for themselves.

Actually, Burlakov keeps a low profile about his private life....

Vladimir Burlakov is definitely not one of those people who share their (relationship) life via Instagram and co. On the contrary! In the past, he hardly ever talked about everyday life beyond the cameras in interviews... and when he did, it was usually more about classic small talk topics. The area of "partnership" - whether with the same or a different sex - was left out.

The fact that he now showed himself with his boyfriend Martin for the first time at the "GQ Men of the Year" gala was certainly a big step for him. Both looked confident and happy - although they probably had no doubts that they would trigger a big media echo with their hand-holding on the red carpet.

What does Burlakov say about his outing?

But what would an appearance on the red carpet be without a short interview or two. The actor told t-online.de that they both came to the gala together because they "felt ready today. But "funnily enough" the whole thing was not really that exciting. Rather, it was "normal" to have a "nice evening" with one's partner.

However, the two have not been together for all that long. The relationship only developed during the lockdown. Judging by their happy impression, the two are certainly not among the couples who suffered from the pandemic and the plea "Stay at home!" plea.

Burlakov does not worry about negative impact on career

Fortunately, in most cases it turns out that coming out no longer has to have a negative impact on one's career. Many fears that torment those affected during this time are unfounded. Burlakov seems to be very relaxed in this respect. In an interview at the "GQ Men of the Year" gala, he emphasized that he is "still the same person and the same actor".

Accordingly, he does not expect people who believe in his talent to drop him all at once. After all, his acting performance has nothing to do with who he goes to bed with.

Burlakov is thus one of the actors who have officially come out, are obviously more than happy with this and have probably also inspired one or two other people who are still struggling a bit.

Who is Vladimir Burlakov?

Vladimir Burlakov is one of those people who have dreamed of a career as an actor since childhood. Therefore, he decided to study acting comparatively early. He was born in Russia and came from Moscow to Germany in the 1990s. During his studies he lost his accent, not speaking a word of German at the time of his relocation. His role as Tatort Commissioner Leo Hölzer is not the only rung on his successful career ladder.

Among other things, he has also appeared in "Der letzteBulle," "Schimanski" and "SOKO Köln. Even though his biography is not all about crime stories, a closer look reveals at least a tendency towards this genre.

It remains to be seen whether Burlakov will also speak a little more transparently about his partnership in the future or whether his outing was one of the few appearances of this kind. In any case, his nearly 20,000 Instagram followers should be happy about one or the other update.
