New role: Jochen Schropp can be seen on "Tiere bis unters Dach" starting in May
The new season of "Tiere bis unters Dach" starts in May. One person who will be on TV a little more then is him: Jochen Schropp.
In the (now already 13th) season, he plays a widowed family man and becomes the successor to Philipp Hansen, whose family leaves for Africa in the series to open a wildlife station here. Schroppi" appears for the first time in the fifth episode of the new season.
Jochen plays Kajo Winter
In "Tiere bis unters Dach" (Animals under the roof), Jochen Schropp can be seen as the family father Kajo Winter. The widower - together with his two sons Sam and Liam - moves to Waldau. To be more precise, he moves into the house of his predecessor.
Here, the three are confronted with all kinds of challenges. After all, there are sometimes significant differences between Germany and Africa. Among other things, completely different animals live here.
And as if that were not enough, love suddenly plays a bigger role again. Kajo falls in love with Dina, a forester. This could be particularly interesting, because he doesn't really have his mind set on love, relationships and the like. After all, it wasn't all that long ago that his wife passed away. But then again, some things can't be planned.
"Animals under the roof" can look back on a long success story
"Tiere bis unters Dach" hasn't just been flickering across our screens since yesterday. Rather, the series has managed to build up a large fan base over the course of time. Viewers have been following the show regularly since 2010.
One aspect that always comes into play in this context: the mixture of humor, nature and problems that many are likely to know from everyday life. The fact that one of the most popular roles is now no longer part of the game at all is likely to make some viewers sad. However, with Jochen Schropp and his role as Kajo, it should definitely not be boring here either.
And things are also going well for Jochen in his private life... .
Schropp is newly married
It's no longer a secret that Jochen Schropp is gay. Since coming out, he has been very open about the subject and has become something of an inspiration for many people. One of the reasons for this is that he is always campaigning for more tolerance and diversity - also in social networks.
In the meantime, he has taken another special step. He married his sweetheart Norman. Actually, the newcomer on "Tiere bis unters Dach" is excellent proof that the fear of losing jobs or being ostracized after coming out is unfounded (at least in many cases). In the past, he revealed, among other things, that he waited so long to say "Yes, I'm gay!" because there were several people who advised him not to do so, as this would not be very conducive to the career he was striving for.

After Jochen Schropp could not only be admired on Instagram, on Promi Big Brother and as a lobster on The Masked Singer, he is now approaching a new project. The new season of "Tiere bis unters Dach" will start on May 08, 2022.
But: As already mentioned, fans will have to be patient for a few episodes until Kajo then "finally" appears.
