Ukraine has made it to the ESC final

The ESC will take place this year in Italy, more precisely in Turin. Currently, the preparations are underway and many fans will certainly not miss it this year to celebrate a party. Ukraine and other countries already had a reason to rejoice. Because: On Tuesday they secured the ticket for the participation in the final.

Kalush Orchestra performed its song "Stefania" and convinced..., even if the song is perhaps a little less "catchy" this year. 2022 is somehow about something else for many. The political message is more in focus than ever.

Ten artists made it to the finals on Tuesday

A total of 17 participants sang and danced on Tuesday for the participation in the ESC final 2022. Ten of them managed to secure a ticket. Among others, Ukraine will also take part in the final in Turin. Many bookmakers already agree that the Kalush Orchestra will be the winner in the end.

Among others, Switzerland (Marius Bear with "Boys don't Cry") will also fight for the coveted title on Saturday.
Russia and Belarus have long been excluded from the competition. But how political will the ESC 2022 be? And what are the chances of the other participants?

Other artists also show solidarity with Ukraine

Already during the preliminary round on Tuesday it became clear that this year's ESC could be a little different from its predecessors... among other things because Iceland, for example, decided to perform with hands painted blue/yellow. In this way, a very special message should be transmitted.
The probability that also on Saturday signs of this kind are sent into the world is high. In the past, there were also some experts who had commented on the exclusion of Russia from the event.

Some of them were of the opinion that this step could well have hit Putin. After all, it had been an opportunity to present his country - ideally, of course, successfully. This option has now been taken away from the Russian head of state. Instead, the participants expressed respect and support for Ukraine.

Who will win the ESC 2022?

As already mentioned, many bookmakers agree that Ukraine will win the ESC 2022. But what happens on the places apart from rank 1? Are there other favorites who can be expected to do well?

This year, the chances seem to be particularly good for Great Britain and (once again) Italy. Malik Harris is entering the race for Germany. He is competing with his song "Rockstars". However, the bookmakers unfortunately only see him in 23rd place. According to the corresponding calculations, the chances of victory are around one percent.

In the second semi-final, more bands will then try to convince in order to be able to perform at the grand final on Saturday in the best case. In the end, 25 nations will fight for the victory.

And even if the image of the ESC has changed over time and some believe that the original feeling has been lost over the years, millions are likely to tune in again every now and then when it's "12 Points go to...".
